Make sure the camera is turned on and close to your iPhone. The camera must not be connected to the official GoPro Quik app at the same time: it holds the Bluetooth link and blocks other apps. Force-quit Quik and tap Find Camera again.
That is expected. The camera’s Wi-Fi access point has no internet, and your iPhone joins it to receive the video stream. Tap Disconnect in GoView, or stop the viewfinder, and your iPhone returns to its usual network.
Open GoView on the Watch and keep it in the foreground, then start the viewfinder on the iPhone. Frames reach the Watch a few seconds after the phone starts receiving them. If it still shows nothing, restart the Watch app.
If you start or stop recording using the camera’s own buttons, GoView picks the change up within a few seconds while the viewfinder is running.
GoPro cameras supporting the Open GoPro API. Newer models (HERO 9 and later) work best: they share their Wi-Fi credentials automatically. On some older models you may need to enter the camera’s Wi-Fi password once. It is shown in the camera’s own connection settings.
